Further, the study identified the experiences and challenges that confronted the faculty members; thus, enabled the researchers to arrive at conclusions and render recommendations. The findings of the study showed that Maritime faculty experiences on online instruction were deeply rooted on practicality and accessibility. It is both refreshing and difficult to do accordingly. The challenges were mostly tied to resources and investments used by the faculty during online interaction. This study shall become a basis for the implementation of new policies in the department in terms of faculty development, materials development and formulation of teaching strategies.
Estrella Arroyo Christopher A Britanico ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2021-07-14 2021-07-14 19 2 151 167 10.33489/mibj.v19i2.275 Power Management System (PMS) Sebagai Kontrol Utama Dalam Perkembangan Power Listrik Kapal http://jurnal.amy.ac.id/index.php/MIBJ/article/view/268
Shipboard electrical power was introduced in the 19th century, electricity as a source of energy for operating vessel is used for lighting, communication, navigation, monitoring, alarm systems, running electric motors, and high voltage installations as the main propulsion. The first electrical installation by commercial ship SS Columbia with a DC electical power, followed by an AC induction motor with a diesel engine. The new technology of electrical power is All Electric Ship (AES) by the passenger ferry Ampere, is the first ship in the world to use fully battery driven and operate regularly in Norway waters. Currently the world engineers are developing new ship designs with a hybrid power, which combines two or more integrated power sources to get high-efficiency power. In this paper uses a qualitative description method with reference to literature studies. The development of electricity from each generation regarding electric power sources, automatic control and power management is the material to be discussed in this paper. The Power Management System (PMS) is a functionally integrated control system to optimize power allocation and energy distribution. PMS keeps electrical power working without any fault, disruptions or system failures while the ship is operating. PMS controls power in a safe and balanced manner between power generation and distribution of ship electrical power.
Eka Darmana Fajar Pujiyanto ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2021-07-14 2021-07-14 19 2 137 150 10.33489/mibj.v19i2.268 Keefektifan Kegiatan Bongkar Muatan General Cargo Pt. Atho Tama di Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok Jakarta http://jurnal.amy.ac.id/index.php/MIBJ/article/view/274
There are five main components that affect port performance, namely: Ship movement, labor productivity, equipment, cargo intensity at moorings, and cargo flow intensity at storage locations. (media.neliti.com, 2019). These five components affect the effectiveness of loading and unloading activities at the port. In analyzing the data the author uses qualitative methods in analyzing a data that is in the field. Factors that greatly affect delays or hinder unloading activities are when the process of unloading cargo; the ship performs ballast; bad weather. General Cargo's unloading process performs with cargo safety guidelines, which prioritize safety in loading and unloading performance, namely to cargo. Every ship is more concerned with work safety, but on the other hand, the ship is more concerned with cargo safety when operating the unloading to the dock or to the barge.
Himawan Aditya Pratama Robinsar Yuliando ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2021-07-14 2021-07-14 19 2 127 136 10.33489/mibj.v19i2.274 Pembuatan Prototype Main L.O System Pada Sump Tank Di Mesin Induk 2 Tak http://jurnal.amy.ac.id/index.php/MIBJ/article/view/263
In this modern era in the maritime world, the learning process related to ship engineering is very necessary and very important for students to master. So, many effective learning methods are used, one of which is the learning method using props on board. Therefore, this study aims to find out how to make props and to find out the working principles of teaching aids and to find out the benefits obtained from teaching aids. The type of props made by the author is the Main L.O System props on the Sump Tank on the 2-Stroke Main Machine. The method used is Research and Development, which is a process or steps to develop a new product or improve an existing product, be it hardware or software. The model in this development research is a procedural model, which outlines the steps of making that are exposed sequentially and gradually from the beginning to the end. This trainer uses a material made of clear resin which is shaped to resemble the working steps of a 2 stroke main engine which also features its lubrication system. The working system of this trainer is a lubrication system from the sump to the sump that uses a water pump to circulate the flow.
Bagas Dwi Andika Amad Narto Febria Sujarman ##submission.copyrightStatement## 2021-07-14 2021-07-14 19 2 112 126 10.33489/mibj.v19i2.263 Pengaruh Public Speaking Pemimpin Terhadap Kinerja Awak Kapal http://jurnal.amy.ac.id/index.php/MIBJ/article/view/266
The ability of the leader ( Master, Head Of Engine Room, Deck Officer, Engine Officer) when watchkeeping on board requires not only knowledge, skills but also various theories, techiques, methods in public speaking so as to be able to speak, convey message, information and orders to the men in the guard work squad on board well so that communication runs smoothly and eliminates misunderstandings so that the performance on the ship that has been targeted is achieved. The Study aims to analisys the infuance of public speaking leaders on the performance of the crew. This study uses quanttative method with linear regression analisys with test-t. Respondent in this study is the crew of commercial ship that is in the Port of Tanjung Perak Surabaya with total 0f 80 ( eighty) respondents. The result of this study based on linear regression and t test is that the public speaking faktor of the leader has a positive and significant effect of 0.610 units on the performance of the crew and based on the determination test obtained by the public speaking factor the leader affect 37.1% of the crew’s performance.
kuncowati kuncowati S.
